To our Valued Clients:
Below please find an update of new guidance issued yesterday,
March 24, 2020, from the Pennsylvania Department of Education (“PDE”) concerning “Continuity of Education” – the term “for any educational practices that occur in the event of a prolonged school closure, such as the COVID-19 crisis.
In its guidance, PDE strongly encourages the importance of continuity of education for schools now being closed until at least April 6, 2020.
PDE states that continuity of education can be achieved in two ways:
1) Planned Courses of Instruction (formal teaching and learning) and
2) Enrichment and Review (informal activities that reinforce or extend students’ prior learning).
